I HATE HOUSEWORK! Here's some things I need to try around the house....

The house is 'clean' but the lack of space makes clutter. I hate clutter, it's one step from hoarding. Straighten up! That's all I heard growing up, so it's not a surprise to know that even today "straiten up" is my motto. But I'm ready to take on some other motto's too, here are a few that I found that I'd like to share with this blog, and so I don't forget where I put the paper that they are written on.....
- Don't put it down, put it away! Here's my problem, I always put it down and say I'll put it away later....Later never comes and it sits there for days! I need to remember this one the most!!!!!!
- Take your shoes off when you come in the house. Then no one is running around saying MOM, where are my shoes. And they don't drag in any mud or bugs from outside....(or poop).
- Run all the errands you need in just one day. Keep a running list all week, pick a day that you can knock your list out in just one day. (yeah, right). If you do this, then you may stop reading this right now, your already organized enough....
- Separate your cutlery in your dishwasher, that way when it's done you just grab and put them away!
- In a smaller bag put your 'go to' items like wipes, lipstick, gloss. No fumbling around for the things you use the most.
- Have the kids choose what they wear the night before school. Saving time and tears....

I have never been a reader, BUT....

It all started out when I was a little girl. I'd see my mom on the couch with a book, everyday. Everyday she read and I just didn't understand how she could do that. Reading in school was a must, everyday at your desk. Why should I do it at home too? Then Silence of the Lambs came out. I read that book faster than I can remember, I loved it! But that's where my love ended, for reading that is. I haven't read a book since then until now. The Hunger Games....Couldn't put it down! I read that then the second book Mocking Jay and now I'm half way through the third of the Trilogy and I'm scared. Scared to finish it. What will I read then? 50 shades of grey does not sit well with a single woman like myself. Why should I read about people having sex, does nothing for me. Maybe Mob Daughters? No clue....Maybe I'll just stick to magazines and reality TV? It's a hard decision, but I'm sure with the summer coming my Kindle App will get a lot of use! or not.

Some Latin words to live by....

Love to surf the web for one thing and totally go off course into a topic that gets your total undivided attention? ME TOO!!!!
In Latin they call that
"Post Hoc, Ergo Propter Hoc" or meaning "After this, therefore on account of it"
OR It refers to the logical mistake of claiming that one thing caused another to happen just because it happened first. Would I have written about these Latin sayings if I hadn't 'found' them on the web while surfing for drink recipes? NO...Therefore the saying has lots of weight!!
Most people have heard the saying "Carpe Diem" Or "Seize the day, put no trust in the morrow".
Also said this way, which I like the best, "Enjoy the pleasures of the moment without concern of the future" (Literally, "Pluck of the day")
My parents named their boat "Carpe Diem", and they did enjoy the pleasures of the moment. I can enjoy the memories of those moments with a smile in my heart. I guess that's a bit of Post Hoc, Ergo Propter Hoc too.......

Enjoy your day and remember "Amor Vincit Omnia", Love conquers all things.......
